BLENDING THE CONSTRUCTIVE WORK OF MAHASABHA

DATE- 16^TH JANUARY 1945

     In his chief guest speech of ‘Dr. Shamaprasad Mukherjee’ in Vilaspur, making clear about the constructive work of Hindu Committees, he gave the directions on the relations of Hindumahasabha and all the Hindu institutions and committees all over Hindustan. All the local and district wide committees of Hindumahasabha should have and keep very friendly and humble relations with all these committees and institutions not only this they should be active in blending the work of different institutions. Humble and loving relations with competitors is the political oath of Hindumahasabha and its constructive work is to bring together all types of Hindus. This constructive work is so vast it includes all the difficulties and troubles which all the Hindus face in their progress.

     But as said by Dr. Mukherjee the blending and togetherness of the so widely  spread Hindu committees and institutions doesn’t easily come in mind of many and in fact that the constructive work of Hindumahasabha is not proceeding soundly, so it is the responsibility of all the members of Hindusabha wide spread to put work in great progress so that it could be put forth before the people according to Dr. Mukherjee 25% of the country wide membership of the representatives of political party mainly is for collection of votes, expression of values and its advertising. Proper work of the party is done by many people who are provoked by the ideas and institutions Hindusamaj is the only working area of Hindumahasabha. And this Samaj is thousands of years ancient and so many social and religious institutions have a background and are known since many years. The names such as co-operative society, social service are some recent names listening to which some uneducated people many ask if this is some new techniques. But Bramacharya, Bhajanmandal, Temple, Panchsamiti, Jati Panchayat, Math, Melava of guru and Shishya are few words which the uneducated old young all know about them. And this progress of these ancient institutions of blending and collecting the Hindusamaj under one shade has been hampered by the attack of the foreign power. Many novels of Hindu social sciences and Historian have mentioned about it by the wise people. And most of the Hindu parties have the aim of rebuilding all these traditions. For example many Government officials have also accepted that if the Britisher had not attacked us lakhs of the villagers would have been Hindus till now.

     Dr. Mukharjee has advised to blend, get together not only the many social and religious parties but also these ancient cultural institutions should also be looked offer. After the question of the Gondas in the Mandala district had come forward. Veer Savarkar had approached Shri Panchalegaonkar Maharaj and his disciples to solve that problems was a very wise decision taken could be seen.

     Editor of ‘ Shakti’ in Jabalpur, Mr. Nathuram Shukla recently published in one of this editions that Arya Samaj Hindudharma sevasangh and Panchalegaonkar Maharaj all three started individual efforts to solve the problems of Mandala district but those efforts and many of Aryasamaj and Sevasangh got wasted while Panchalegaonkar Maharaj learned the Gondi Language and made a habit of eating their food and walk long distances in severe cold without caring for any bodily troubles along with his disciples among the people of Gonda’s which made him popular among these people and gave his efforts the right effects of course if other parties work under guidance and in the method of Panchalegaonkar Maharaj then they too can help in the progress of blending and right work would proceed as said by Dr. Mukharjee. To show the right path is the only reason to give the example of Mandala district

     Every member has the same aim but should not work for any egoism or in attraction of fame and unnecessary unhealthy competition. All this should be avoided for having right effects for right effects.

POSTING OF MOGHUL OFFICERS IN CENTRAL PROVINCES

Date- 14 January 1945

In Gazette of central province and warhaad dated 05/01/1946 their was a news of having posted three under mentioned Civil service Probationers Commissioners & Posted for training to the districts in central province Mr. Kunj Beharilal Amravati District, Mr. Mir Tahawar Ali Khan Akola District & Mr. Sayed Noorulhassan Jaffri, Yeotmal District. (Below the main Para of the newsletter in which central province and warhaad Government Gazette has given the news has been noted down) We must accept that we were surprised to listen or read the news. As per our knowledge there is only one representative of the Nizam’s but according to this appointment it seems to be incorrect previously whether there were such appointments would be better know by the warhaadis only.

But according to our views we feel that such appointment have been done for the first time purposely to give grand welcome to the son of Nizam. These officers will not come here just to learn their work. Just for sake of learning they could have been posted in central province district or from Mumbai, Madras not from Hyderabad but all are falling in warhaad This means that the Hyderabad governments wants the warhaad population to get addict to the Nizam rulers .

As previously Agrani was the one who had brought forward the news of Nizams son’s entry in warhaad. Agrani is the one who is putting forth the news of posting of Nizam Government officers in warhaad and giving a wakeup call to people and leaders in warhaad the piece of paragraph in central provinces and berar Gazette.

Remedies to remove the misery of teachers

Date- 13^th January 1945

Indian educational council conference was held in Kanpur and District Principal council conference was held in Mumbai, under the presidency of Mr. K.M. Pannikar and Dr. G.S. Khaire respectively. In their speech and decision of the council the status of the primary teachers is miserable to live and Government and private institutions should take immediate action to improve this condition were the orders given.

Shri. Pannikar said, “The Economic Conditions of the teachers in Hindustan is very bad. The more the responsibility and the least are their wages this condition is in no other profession unless the teachers are given their proper status and living wages our educational sector will never get its proper benefits. By keeping the teachers unsatisfied and hungry we are spoiling the education system.

Plan of Mr. Tonten

In his opening speech in the state Principal Council, Education Minister of Mumbai government, Shri. Tonten gave following orders. The economic aids given to the schools must be used to increase the salary of the teachers. There should be revision in Government aids given to schools so that Teachers salary and Government aids should be in right proportion.

The systems of voluntary workers have benefited before but now that system shows many defaults and has been the reason to reduce to wages of the teachers. This system has to be slowly stopped and all teachers have to be given sufficient attractive wages and they should also be guaranteed for the salary increment.

Take the responsibility of salary

we have a question that what the government wishes to do about this? So and so part of the grant may be used for the wages of the teachers just would not solve the problem. Dr. G.S. Khaire has supported the sergeant wages plan. We would like to suggest in that relation that the government should take the whole responsibility of school teachers for few years.

The government should give the grant equal to the wages of the teachers and little more for some other purposes. How the school has to work slowly according to the parents wish as the wages of the teachers are Dependant on the fees of the students has been precisely described by Dr. Khaire. But according our suggestion the relation of fees and wages will be no more.

The grant should be equal to the salary of the teachers which would not increase the expenditure of the government so much and even if it is, this is very necessary expenditure. Then the school administration can freely ask for other help from parents, the system of voluntary workers has collapsed the salary system which would be better by improving and making attractive salary system for teachers. which has to be done by the government only. The government has started spending little for the teachers by starting teachers provident system. Similarly, if they take the sole responsibility of the salary of the workers only then the speech of Mr. Tonten would have some importance.

Call meeting the working committee

During the District teachers conference under the presidency of Dr. Sahastrabuddhe it was suggested that chairman of private education institution should have a representation in their committee members which would help the teacher in improving their economic state and respect were some of the notices given. As there was conference of principals held, there also should be a conference of owners of education institutions that is the voluntary workers and Committee members to discuss on the queries of the teachers. Instead of getting addicted to the government we must be aware and lenders must move ahead find some way out. There is an increasing percentage of the poverty of teachers in the Maharashtra education society which is an bad patch in the part of contemplate institution To wash this bad patch is the responsibility of the society and in that way of those who are owners of the schools. They should invite the teachers for the meetings and listen to their complaints and find some solutions to it.

The living wages of the teachers is the problem of the teachers but also of those students whom they teach and their parents and the society they live in

If the society does not find any solution to this problem then they themselves will be responsible for pouring poison in the teaching which will be knowledgeless.

Their Split philosophy which turned over them

Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee and Veer Savarkar have difference of opinion, Dr. Shyamaprasad had different thoughts  than Veer Savarkar’s was a type of prevalence which congress had started from their overall thoughts which they were provoking were that Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjees’s thoughts were more towards congress with this prevalence they wanted to try and make differences between the members of Hindusabha. By talking good about one member and criticizing the other member the strategy of the split philosophy.

As the congress was getting disturbed by the increasing effects of Hindusabha. They are trying their best in all possible ways to oppose Hindusabha.

There in now difference of Opinion in Hindusabha and Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee’s thoughts are more better was the strategy of congress which should affect Hindusabha in its prevalence. But instead of Hindusabha this policy started making differences in the members of congress was the most funniest part. They were getting thrown into the pithole which they were making for Hindusabha.

The Communist party is such a party in Hindustan which has no self respect who think the Muslim for wretched policy is obstinate and the only way before us ahead in to surrender solely to the muslims. This party has no self program me or plans other than just watching the Muslims and congress together for which they show this by their prevalence rounds, script and advertises that in their daily routine

When Gandhiji accepted Pakistan and Rajaji stared a rigorous prevalence of Pakistan this party could not control its happiness. Hindusabha‘s strong opposition to Pakistan was the most important hazard in their way and so giving bad words to Hindusabha was their important program me.

But when they said that Dr. Shaymaprasad speech was at right then their party was astonished some members of congress who were thoughtful started accepting that the thoughts of Hindusabha were right which stared hampering the unity of congress.

So the communist party started explaining in its weakly newspaper “ Lokyaddha” They published a newsletter saying ‘ people do not get confused Dr. Shyamaprasad and Veer Savarkar’s speech has no difference of thoughts. They are of the some community. Both are equally against the Muslim for policy of congress. Both have the same bad qualities of self respect and respect for the nation. So comparing both  Dr. Shyamaprasad and Veer Savarkar and praising one of them would be great fault. Due to such a prevalence many congress men started moving to Hindusabha and Muslim for policy was under great danger.

One para from the Lokyudh was purposely published as it is in the Agrani magazine of Sunday 7^th. The poison they were preparing for others had started affecting the congress men which had disturbed the congress party.

Those who had read the whole speech of Dr. Shyamaprasad would very easily recognize that those thoughts of Hindutva which savarkar had always mentioned were totally similar to the thoughts of Dr. Shyamaprasad. This year Dr. D.B. Bhopatkar had put three resolutions which were accepted, which now has made it more difficult for the congress to oppose Hindusabha this can be seen from many publishing's.

Some few shrewd and honest members remaining in congress had the only way to secure the respect of congress by changing its nation opposing polities to true national strategy. They need not have to think much for what is true national policy as Hindusabha has already putforth the policy and by following it, would help to uplift the congress. Otherwise the disgusting split policy is putting them into what mess in being experienced by them already.

Let us organise Hindusabha

The executive of Hindusabha Shri V.D.Deshpande published a leaflet with a purpose to motivate the respected members of Hindumahasabha to work for the progress of the organisation.

The work of Hindumahasabha is now being nicely proceeded. All over Hindustan lakhs of Hindus who love their nation look forward to Hindumahasabha as a source for getting their freedom and have therefore stared accepting its truth. There are many branches of Hindusabha in every part of the country. In many parts Hindusabha has won in elections. The work done during the riots in Dhakka and Sakkar and during the drought in Bengal. Hindusabha was always ahead in such social work also many brave people happily faced all the suffering under the flag of Hindusabha during the campaign at Bhaganagar and Bhagalpur. By uniting people’s opinion all over the country we destroyed the plan of congress league of division of the country. And now Hindumahasabha is the only organisation which looks into the welfare of Hindus in Hindustan.

                                  Need of active members

By facing lack of active full time devoted members of Hindusabha is still little behind in promoting its values to lakhs of people. If we personally meat people then there are people who wish to be the primary members of Mahasabha. If our propaganda is done in a proper way we can win so many elections.  Due to lack of Property educated members Hindusabha cannot under take any constructive, social or economical work in their hands. If there are lots of members then Hindusabha can plead the fight for freedom successfully.

                            Planning for education centers

And for this reason Hindusabha has decided to enroll all the members who would like to join Hindusabha to work full time and open a education center for these members. Travel allowance and if needed some gift may also be given as help.

This is a notice to all members of Prantiksabha and Hindusabha to enroll all the names at the earliest. The thoughts expressed by Shri Deshpande with regards to promote and organise Akhil Bharatiya Hindumahasabha are truly important. But while the progress in the work of uniting or organizing prantik sabha strong by its members as it is a part of Akhil Bhartiya Hindumahasabha. The members from the Prantiksabha are selected in the AkhilBharatiya Hindumahasabha so it should be strengthen become if it is not strong then anybody enters. Akhil Bharatiya Hindusabha and trys to spoil it so the Prantiksabha are also to be looked after carefully and made stronger.

The elections of Maharastra Prantik Hindusabha have finished and their working committee has been setup. After that many members were engaged in the conference of vilaspur. Now that the yearly conference of Maharastra prantik Hindusabha is over the chairman Shri Bapurao Joshi and executive officer Shri G.V. Ketkar has now started movements towards the work of Prantik Hindusabha. Economic and human help are both very eagerly needed for Prantik Hindusabha.

If Hindumahasabha has to be established as on organisation who takes care of the economical and social needs and gives guidance to the Hindu society then maximum number of members should join it.

Taking this need in mind the members of the Maharastra Hindusabha must convey to prantik Hindusabha what kind of help they can provide to fulfill the needs of Hindusabha and Should vigorously and with full enthusiasm should try to see that work of Hindumahasabha is in path of full progress this year.

‘Be unanimous’ but do not rise to angry extravagance

Date- 7^th January 1945

This years Maharashtra literary conference was held in Dhule under the presidency of Shri. Mama Varerkar which made minds of the Dhuliaus and Litereriaus free from the lashes of the conference.

 Parishad - conference clashes were left in air by mama and next year conference president will also be Parishand president and before seeing this, ‘I will not even die’ this is what is oath taken by Shri. warerkar ending the conference speech which was suitable to his image.

Today’s president of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad prof. Parishad decided to make some change in the constitution. The people who had come with mind to fight were calmed.

As soon as the conference ended the reporters rushed to take interview of prof. Potdar where he said ‘If conference and Parishad are united these won’t be this huge form of the conference any more. There are a few places in Maharashtra where there are no of Parishad so the conference will not be able to be taken there and some other difficulties which I can seen on this path which others cannot visualize. “This only showed on which path the thoughts of president of Parishad were.

Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad and conference were started 8 years before similarly the new thought of unanimity must be solved together while clubbing together the independent institution what difficulties were faced should also be taken in mind before making changes in the constitution. We accept that the president of the Sahitya conference should not just be the ruler for three days but must participate in the agitation of literature for the whole year. But this would not be the need to merge the Parishad and conference. This can be satisfied by making a change in rule for electing the president today Parishad suggests five names and the welcome committee elects president from them that is in the opinion of the Parishad is already taken for the election. From now onwards first five names must be suggested by the Parishad then from them only one name must be put forth by the Parishad and the welcome committee member and the name which will come forth by the maximum votes will be the president of the Parishad and conference of that year should be the rule. Not only this, the welcome committee should elect 4-5 members from the working committee to the governing committee till the new welcome committee for the next year is elected which will maintain the relation between the Parishad and welcome committee.

To avoid the issue of the President being from other place, the vice Precedent should be from the local place.

Prof. Potdar had a doubt that, if the Parishad and conference were merged then only the members of the Parishad could take part and many of the local people are not member of the Parishad so they would not have that much interest in taking part in the occasion this should be taken into account by the constituting committee.

If the reception committee members are deprived of their votes then these will be very less rich people seen taking part in the conference. If all of them are decided to be taken as the members of the Parishad then the local members will be more than the present members of the Parishad and then the decision passed for the votes of any resolution will be sold on the name of the Sahitya Parishad.

Mama Varerkar will not forget this view and will not take any decision emotionally before taking any oath because his oath is to make a unanimous president for the Parishad and conference and not the union of Parishad and conference.

Instead of concentrating ourselves only on this matter we must concentrate on other matters like to get acceptance of the Education department for the exams of Maharashtra Vidyapeeth Parishad exam, to collect donation of one lakh rupees to improve the standard of Marathi in Madhya Prant. So will they be able to give an instance that if the President of Parishad and conference is one and can do a lot good.

मो. रोम्यँ रोलां यांचें निधन

Death of Mo. Romya Rola

Date- 6^th January 1945 

Few debts are personal and few are national debts. Among these national debts, well educated people in Hindustan very well know about the debt of Romyarola.  He was famous and know as a biographer of M. Gandhi, Ramkrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekanand. When the foreigners know about our leaders they naturally feel sympathetic towards Hindustan. Though there in no benefit of this sympathy in practical, instead of having a bad impression it is better to have some inclination towards us, in this view his books were of use to us.

Romyarolas biographies on Ramkrishna, Vivekanand are useful to educated people for comparative studies. Even educated people among us do not have the habit of comparison of our religious history and history of foreigners’ religion. They are not used to think about the similarity and differences about their experience of God and our experience. This type of comparison is seen in Romyarola’s books. That is the reason why his book got more importance not just because it was biography written by a foreigner.

This is just a thought about his books written on Indian subject. Before writing this he was teacher of foreign music, writer deeds of music scholars, biographies of great writer was well known in the whole Europe. For all this he won a nobel prize for his wonderful book ‘Jya Christoph’ Music was his most liked subject. He has written the ‘Jya cristopn’ on the deeds of a music scholar. Due to this crave for music he first got the opportunity to listen to the history of saints and sages of India.

A famous singer and writer Mr. Dilipkumar Rai was the one from Hindustan who first introduced the great Indian men first to Romaya Rola.

There are two reasons why ‘Jya Christoph’ book is specially important. In this book he has described the life of a talented person from his birth to his death. Specially the first three books of the ten books have not only truly described but are fully devoted to the childhood of the Kristoph in the book.

Dyuma in his books of deeds of shiledars has described their Life since they have joints the army. But the important part of life of the talented people is before they have grown up, this secret was known to all by Rola’s novels.

Famous writer Whales has followed Rola in his novels, showing that Rola’s novels are also inspiring to others. Readers in Hindustan are not acquainted with the history of French, German, European novels from the base so they are read and understood by the specs of the English writer so they ought to fire themselves in the slavish thoughts and dependence on the English goes on increasing. But great European writer like Rola introduce from the basic the falseness of English writers comes forward.

Rola’s novels were inspiring and educating not only to Hindustani Novel writers but also the philosophers for some other reason. Since puberty he was confused whether a leaner should take part in the political, social and financial agitation. Finding difficult to keep his mind aloof from the surrounding agitation he answered his question in a practical way and acted accordingly. But the difference created by learning and agitation at every step makes you feel that your own thoughts differ from ones you had before due to the improved status of your mind. He put forth many entertaining and provoking examples in his bio graphs for this reason itself many writers of some generation said that art learning and knowledge learning should be kept separate from the party related agitations. The disputes between Rola and his fellow writers were very important.

What is knowledge? What is act or action? People who know nothing or understand anything of the other keep talking in a childish manner about knowledge.

Instead of their vain and tedious reiteration the discussion of Rola and his co writers, about the problems confronted by us in our day to day life are more provoking. But the importance of this is only to those who discuss these problems in historic view.
